Immediately out of college I knew what I desired to do. I wanted to support live bands and create excitement with the use of live stage lighting. I bought a truck and 24 Par Cans (old school lights) and the rest is history.
After a few years of breaking fingers and fixing trucks I needed to move on. In 1984 I joined forces with Pete’s Lights out of the Chicago area. I spent 14 years touring the world with bands from Patty Label to Pantera. My roll started as grunt electrician, pulling power cables, and hooking up high powered lighting systems. This taught me the basics in power distribution as well as what it takes to put on live events. After a few years I found myself out front at these shows calling spotlights and running the show using a myriad of lighting consoles that got better and smarter every year.
